On the International education day shocking numbers about the educational sector in Gaza

Thousands of children in Gaza were deprived of their right to education because of the war, and many teachers and students were martyred.

According to the latest studies the scale of the disaster that struck the educational sector has reached shocking numbers.

• 608 thousand students have been deprived of their education due to the aggression against Gaza

• 4.327 students are among the martyrs, 7,819 are wounded.

• 231 teachers are among the martyrs, 756 were wounded.

• 385 schools were affected, with 99 schools being completely destroyed

• 231 schools are being used as emergency shelters for displaced persons
